Together with Da Lat Railway Station, Da Lat Pedagogy College has been recognized as a National Cultural Historic Relic. For the choice of a work both old and typical of the European architectural art in Da Lat, the building of Da Lat Pedagogy College is a worthy candidate. Originally, it was Lycee Yersin, inaugurated in 1935, of unique architecture with a long crescent embracing a large yard. One end of the building is a very high tower, with steep roofs of slate on four sides, carried over from France.
The vertical tower with slate roofs contrary to the curves and the red brick of the walls give the feeling of both strength and softness, flexibility. The crescent of the building takes the shape of an open book, while the vertical tower symbolizes a pen. From many different positions, an observer can see the school tower with impressive outlines in Da Lat sky.
